It located in the margins of the High one I Gild, in the heart of Castile, The Ribera of the Duero has some 11,300 hectares of vineyard distributed among different municipalities of the provinces of Hamlets, Valladolid, Soria and Segovia. The Ribera is high, with an average altitude that surpasses the 800 meters. Has continental climate, with extreme temperatures in summer and in winter, tendency to the frosts and, very often, suffers long droughts in the warm summers.
The region is upon limiting of the cultivation of the vine. Basically the only vineyards that survive are them situated under the protection of the slopes of the riverbed I Gild, where the variation of temperature between the day and the night can oscillate in summer of 32ºC during the day to 6ºC the same night.
All this stimulates the production of vital substances that are transformed into color and extraordinarily intense fragrances.
Generally, the capable vineyards to survive these conditions so extremes produce deeply aromatic, dark wines and excellently structured, with a great concentration, style and longevity.

This Denomination of Origin, covers four regions perfectly individualized of the province of Pontevedra (Spain): Val do Salnés, Condado de Tea, O rosal y Soutomaior.
The wines of Laugh Baixas, are wines with history, full of old legends that devise from a basic stump, the grape Galician wine. They are wines that are born and they devise next to the Spanish sea, among slightly acid deep, little, and sandy floors.
The giddy ascent of these wines themselves due to the fast joint of the process of elaboration to the modern techniques, always without abandoning the traditional systems in the relating to the cultivation of the vineyards and to the tasks of harvesting and grape harvest.
The white they are very marked by the personality of the grape Galician wine, while the red wines, to date, they are very minority.
The climate is chiefly Atlantic, in winter are intense the haste and determinant the hot and smooth temperatures, with very little difference between the day and the night. In summer the haste are little frequent, the temperatures are maintained smooth thanks to the fresh air, the storms are little habitual and the risk of hail is low.
